Remembering James Horner (1953-2015)

James Horner

Today (22nd June 2016) marks the first anniversary of the death of my favourite composers, James Horner.

Horner composed over 100 scores throughout his career, for both film and TV, including the score for Titanic; the best-selling orchestral film soundtrack of all time. Horner won two Academy Awards, both for Titanic, and was nominated for countless others for his music.

Below are three scenes from films, with the musical talent of James Horner and his classical scores in the background.

The Land Before Time (1988)

Casper (1995)

Titanic (1997)

  2. Mr. Horner will be dearly missed. The Land Before Time soundtrack (and the movie) is still one of my favorites to this day.
