‘Need for Speed’ to get 3D release

NEED FOR SPEED

DreamWorks Pictures have announced that Need for Speed, the soon to be released film based on the EA video game franchise, will now be released in 3D, and is currently undergoing a 3D conversion before release.

Need for Speed stars Aaron Paul, of Breaking Bad fame, whilst Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots and Dakota Johnson, due to play Anastasia Steele in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey film, are co-starring.

Aaron Paul plays Tobey Marshall, who after spending time in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, is set on extracting revenge on the driver who killed his best friend.

Need for Speed will be directed by Scott Waugh, a former stunt actor who directed the 2012 film Act of Valor.

November 2013 saw the release of the twentieth game in the Need for Speed franchise, titled Need for Speed Rivals.

Need For Speed was originally due to be released Friday 7th February, placing it again the highly anticipated Robocop from Sony, released in the same week. It has now had its release date moved to March 2014.

Need for Speed will be released on 12th March 2014.
